Our Science incursion is out of this world fun. With a focus on space and the galaxy, the children will love our fun themed experiments. More than a show, this is a hands on, interactive experience for all.
Science Incursion Structure:
Calling all space lovers. Let’s jump in and explore our universe with an array of experiments designed to get you thinking. This isn’t a one man show, we need all our little scientists to put on their thinking caps and help us make the experiments successful ones.
What we do:
- Science Host – Our Science Entertainer will arrive fully equipped with everything needed for the educational experience. All you need to provide is enough tables for the eager young scientists to gather around. Chairs are optional.
- Engaging Experiments – Our host will run a variety of experiments that will engage and captivate the children. Not only will they demonstrate the experiments they will let the children have some hands on fun too
- Team work – The children will conduct the experiments in small teams, encouraging their team building abilities. This is a great focus skill for them whist also giving them an opportunity to engage in experiments.
- Easy yet interesting – We aim to run through a variety of experiments that range in difficulty. We aim to keep the experiments simple yet fun so everyone can be involved. We also focus on experiments not always working perfectly because thats science!

ADDITIONAL CHARGES:
Extra Children: For 30-50 children, an additional entertainer is assigned for $220
For over 50 children, ask us for a quote.
Travel Surcharge: Travel is calculated from our Wollongong CBD base
Depending on location, travel fees will be quoted on enquiry.
What we bring:
- Professional Science Entertainer
- All the supplies needed for the experiments
- Lab coats for each child (if under 30 children)
- PA system, disco lights and microphones if choosing the disco add-on
FAQ's
We have a mixed group of both girls and boys, will they all be engaged throughout the science incursion?
Yes, definitely. We have perfected the exact combination of activities to keep both boys and girls completely engaged and having a great time. All of our entertainers have undergone an extensive training program, some are even studying childcare or have childcare qualifications.
Can the incursion be run outdoors?
We can run this incursion either indoors or outdoors but always have a wet weather plan if your event is outdoors. All we need are tables for the kids to stand around to do the experiments plus easy access to water. If you’re choosing the disco add on, that would need to be indoors.
What time will the entertainer arrive?
Your entertainer will arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled disco start time (this is with an allocated car spot within 20 metres from the disco). This gives you an opportunity to ask questions, give any special instructions or discuss any requirements.
Are the entertainers ‘screened’?
Yes, all the staff and entertainers of Bop till you Drop have been approved by the ‘Working with Children Check’.
Do the children have a break?
In all our 1.5-hour and 2-hour events, the children will have a 10-minute drink break to replenish their energy to start again for the second session. Please let us know if this is not suitable for your event.
Do I need to provide anything for the entertainer?
All the entertainers will need is a table to conduct the experiments on (big enough or multiple tables for the kids too). No chairs are required.
Do I need to provide a parking spot for the entertainer?
Yes, your entertainer will need an allocated parking spot as close to your venue as possible. We want the incursion to run as smoothly as possible and on time. Please note you will need to pay for parking should free parking not be available. Also, please ensure you give the office clear directions on exactly where your venue is located.
What if someone hurts themselves, are you insured?
Bop till you Drop has $20 million dollars Public Liability Insurance.
